New Build Grain Store

J & B Gray

After diversifying on farm S & H Steel frames were contracted to design and build a new grain store facility on farm to form a new contract crop storage facility bolting onto their additional drying and cleaning plant. We where able to help by producing planning drawings and applying for planning permission on behalf of J & B Gray, work with Pellcroft engineering so existing grain handling conveyors could be extended into the new structure and then work with our customer to create their purpose-built grain store. Our brief was that the building needed to be resilient to with stand surcharged loads of a variety of crops, the forces involved due to compaction and pushing up crops in store and impact loads from telehandlers. Working with both our Structural engineer and customer we where able to deliver a fit for purpose building.
